Implementing a Windows Server Infrastructure

I love to learn!

I know what you're thinking!  Huh?  I thought you said you were a teacher...

My little secret?  I learn from the people I teach, every. single. time.  Every place is different.  Every person's job is different.  And every person is different.  To many people, IT professionals are the same, right?  We categorize them:  bashful programmers, arrogant administrators, dumb help desk person, that desktop support guy, the elusive network engineer...But people are unique in so many ways.  There are so many ways to do some things, too.  Some people don't know the "Microsoft way" to do something, but it needed to get done, so they found a way.  I see this kind of Get-up-and-do-it brilliance all the time, and when I'm teaching and someone tells us all about their way, guess what?  We all learned something new.

I'm not 100% sure of many things, as there are nuances to just everything in life, but there is something I am certain about--how much I don't know and yet want to learn--and will!

Installation, Storage and Compute with Windows Server 2016

I am a certified instructor of Microsoft and CompTIA technologies.  I've been teaching high-end computer classes since 1998.  Before that, I was a computer security trainer in the Untied States Air Force. I served 22 years in the military.  In my last posting, I was in charge of the Base Network Control Center on Maxwell AFB in Alabama.  I retired and took a job with Auburn University teaching Linux and UNIX courses.  I also became a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) in Windows NT 4.0 and began teaching that as well.

In 2002, the part of my university that I taught in became a Microsoft Certified Technology Education Center, or CTEC.  I became an Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) at that time.  I have kept up all my certifications since then, and to me, one of the most important has been MCT!  In 2012, I went to semi-retired status at the University to pursue additional projects while still doing what I enjoy most--teaching!

For the past couple of years, I've been part of a team helping to write the Microsoft Official Courseware for a number of different Windows Client, Server and System Center products!  Click on the links to the right to go the Microsoft details page for that course.

There are more courses coming on Windows Server 2016 that we're just getting ready to publish!
